Ziggie Graver – Finding a Centre, 2016 (installation view)
Ziggie Graver was a first-time exhibitor at the National Gallery of Jamaica in the Jamaica Biennial 2017. He was born in 1992, in Hanover, Jamaica. He attended the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, where he attained a BFA in 2016, and primarily works in new media. Graver’s film Finding a Centre was inspired by his personal journey to the martial arts as a practice and life philosophy, at the same time exploring wider issues of anger, aggression, and inner peace. Graver is currently based in Kingston, Jamaica.
