August is here and as Jamaicans we are celebrating two of our nation’s major anniversaries: Emancipation Day (August 1) and Independence Day (August 6). In tandem with the celebrations, the NGJ will be offering free admission on Sundays during the month of August, including Independence Day Sunday August 6th. All are welcome to visit and peruse the National Art collection on display, as we reflect on our past, appreciate our present and anticipate our future achievements.
