In 1974, the National Gallery of Jamaica opened its doors to the public at the historic Devon House with a mission for conservation through acquisition, recreation through exhibitions, and education through programming, scholarship and community building.

Now, 50 years later, we continue to build on that legacy, expanding our collection, engaging with the community, and evolving to meet the needs of our diverse audiences locally, within the diaspora and internationally.

Join us in celebrating half a century of preserving Jamaican art, fostering creativity, and enriching lives through education. Hear from our Senior Director, Mrs. Nadine Boothe-Gooden, in this special anniversary video.
